This BOF provides an opportunity for conference attendees from industries such as Finance, Electrical and Aerospace Engineering, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, and Biotech to share observations on the state and future of HPC in the Enterprise. The vendor community and traditional HPC site community is encouraged to bring their perspective to the discussion.
Intersect360 High Performance Computing market research separates High Performance Technical Computing (HPTC) and High Performance Business Computing (HPBC). This research suggests that HPBC makes up 32% of the overall market and is likely to grow. Users in the business-oriented community will have somewhat different goals and needs than the more technically oriented lab community. Rogue Wave has a historical strength in industries such as finance and telecommunication and we think that perspective industrial users bring will be of interest to the wider community.
This session will feature audience participation. Two or three brief statements will get the discussion started and then we'll lead a discussion among those present. |
