Abstract:   Benchmarking dense linear algebra codes has been well established in the form of the two-decade old TOP500 list, which is based on the over four-decade old HPL software. This is not the case for sparse linear algebra computations, and iterative solvers in particular. Our goal is to produce a benchmark code that is representative of sparse iterative solvers and whose performance will strongly correlate with the behavior of many applications what are run in production mode on HPC systems.
