Abstract: | Advances in the software ecosystem, particularly those associated with OpenCL 1.2, make GPUs increasingly attractive for running HPC workloads in a scalable and efficient manner. AMD’s upcoming additions to the FirePro™ S-Series family of server graphics cards, in conjunction with OpenCL, provide the ideal basis for the creation of powerful and efficient compute clusters. This session will provide an overview of AMD’s family of FirePro graphics products and provide practical recommendations on deploying FirePro S-Series products in an HPC environment. This will include insight on how the latest FirePro products with multiple TFLOPS of single and double precision floating point performance are capable of enabling a supercomputer which would rank competitively in the Green 500 (http://www.green500.org/). | ||||
