Abstract:   To leverage key insights about their businesses and to successfully apply these within their operational business, enterprises across many industry sectors are faced with typical Big Data problems. Depending on the weight of each of the four "Vs" Volume, Velocity, Variety and Veracity within an enterprise environment, the problem splits up into two major analysis scenarios, one for data at rest and another for data in motion. Additionally, to create synergies in a distributed IT-infrastructure and to elastically cope with different workloads, both, private and public cloud architectures provide an additional layer for creating Big Data solutions. This talk gives an overview of several examples how IBM helped Enterprises to become highly productive Big Data users by leveraging a sophisticated but easy to use tool set.
