Dr. Steve Hammond

Director, Computational Science Center, National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Steve Hammond is the Director of the Computational Science Center at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, CO. Steve leads laboratory efforts in high performance computing and energy efficient data centers. Prior to joining NREL, Steve spent 10 years at the National Center for Atmospheric Research developing massively parallel climate models. He also worked at the NASA Ames Research Center and at GE's Global R&D Center. Steve earned his PhD in Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
