Prof. Dr. Tim Güneysu

Assistant Professor & Head of the Research Group on Hardware Security, Ruhr University Bochum

Tim Güneysu is assistant professor and head of the research group on Hardware Security at Ruhr-University Bochum in Germany. He received his B.Sc. with Honors in Information Technology International from University of Cooperative Education of Mannheim (2003) and his Diploma
(2006) and Ph.D. (2009) in IT-Security from Ruhr-University Bochum. His research topics are cryptographic implementations for embedded and hardware-based systems, including aspects such as long-term secure cryptography, lightweight and hardware-entangled cryptographic properties as well as cryptanalytic machines. He has served on program committees of related international conferences and workshops including CHES, SAC, DATE and DAC. He published and contributed to more than 50 peer-reviewed journal and conference proceedings in this field.
