Dr. Nick Johnson

Applications Consultant, EPCC - The University of Edinburgh

Dr Nick Johnson is an Applications Consultant at EPCC, the supercomputing centre at the University of Edinburgh who currently works alongside Dr Weiland on the EC FP 7 funded project Adept. He also works on the EC funded CityFlow project, which is concerned with the investigation of scaling SDN applications to support a city of around 1 million inhabitants. He has previously worked on bringing bone modelling codes to HPC compute resources, has authored a benchmark suite for the OpenACC programming model, and developed PGAS extension to the HPC-GAP code for symbolic computation allowing more efficient use of HPC resources.
