Dr. Timothée Ewart

Software Developer, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne

Tim is a HPC software developer in the Human Brain Project. He received his Ph. D. degree in mechanical engineering, specializing in rarefied gas flows, from the University of Provence in 2007. Tim worked at IBM France as IT-HPC specialist, at the Institute of French Petroleum as a chemical engineer and as a HPC developer in the HP2C Swiss initiative. His prime areas of interest are in High Performance Computing software and low level optimisations in assembly language. Tim is a big fan of alpinism and climbing in Chamonix.
