Dr. Zhimin Tang

Dr. Zhimin Tang is the chief technology officer (CTO) of Sugon Information Industry. Dr. Tang received his BS from the Department of Computer Science, Nanjing University, in 1985, and his Ph. D from the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), in 1990. During 1990 to 2006, he was assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor, respectively, of the ICT-CAS, and his research interests include high performance computer architecture, parallel computing, and microprocessor design. Dr. Tang joined ApaceWave Technologies, a silicon valley start-up designing WiMAX (IEEE 802.16e) baseband SoC, in 2006, and was the GM of its Beijing R&D center. In 2011, he returned back to ICT-CAS as a professor in the State Key Lab of Computer Architecture.
Dr. Tang published 100+ refereed papers and held 10+ patents. He is the Executive Editor-in-Chief of "Communications of the Chinese Computer Federation", and the AE of "Science in China: Information Sciences".
